Partner at Madruga BTW in the areas of Criminal, Litigation and Administrative Law, with a focus in the Financial and Capital Markets.

He served as a Federal Judge for fifteen years, working in the Specialized Court for Financial Crimes and Money Laundering in São Paulo. During his tenure as a judge, he tried the country’s first cases of insider trading and market manipulation. He also handled significant cases related to money laundering and financial crimes.

He also served as an Assistant Judge at the Federal Supreme Court, the Superior Court of Justice, the Superior Electoral Court, and the National Council of Justice.

Since 2020, he has held the position of Professor of Economic Criminal Law at FGV-SP and has earned a Doctorate in Criminal Law from the University of São Paulo (USP). He was a researcher at Columbia Law School and conducted post-doctoral studies at Harvard Law School .

Starting in May 2023, he has been admitted as a Legislative Consultant for the Federal Senate, specializing in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Public Security.
