An economist with over 35 years of experience in the financial and capital markets. He has held leadership positions at the Central Bank of Brazil, BM&FBOVESPA, B3, and BSM Market Supervision. His career spans market infrastructure, payment systems, risk management, auditing, market surveillance, anti-money laundering, and self-regulation.
Between 2006 and 2021, he served in senior roles at BM&FBOVESPA and B3, including Head of Internal Audit, Chief Risk Officer, and Head of Self-Regulation, where he was responsible for overseeing the markets administered by the Brazilian exchange. Prior to that, he spent nearly two decades at the Central Bank of Brazil, where he participated in the reform of the Brazilian Payment System and the creation of the STR, and served as Vice-President of Risk Management at Caixa Econômica Federal.
PhD in Economics from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Graduated in Economics from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA).
