Natalie de Castro Alves is our lead partner in the Institutional and Government Relations practice. She has extensive experience advising representative entities of the Federal Police, Judiciary, Public Defender’s Office, and Public Prosecutor’s Office. Ms. Alves has also counseled companies in the healthcare, technology, and financial sectors.

With broad experience in Government Relations, she has worked on several high-profile cases, including the approval of Federal Law 14,188/21. This law, which defines psychological violence and establishes the Red Signal cooperation program, was enacted in less than five months after its presentation to the Brazilian National Congress.

Ms. Alves is the President of the Nós Por Elas Institute (NPE), an organization dedicated to combating domestic violence against women. She also serves as a Director of the Brazilian Academy of Forensic Sciences (ABCF), Director of the University of Brasília Law School Alumni Association (Alumni FD-UnB), and legal coordinator of Interforensics, the largest Forensic Sciences event in Latin America.

Ms. Alves holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Brasília (UnB) and is currently pursuing her master’s degree at the same institution. She has also contributed to UnB as a guest professor for the course “Forensics: Justice through Science”.
