Rafael Arcuri is a Consultant in our firm specialized in life sciences. He coordinates the firm’s Cannabis practice and is the current Executive Director of the National Association of Industrial Hemp, Brazil (ANC). His professional contributions include the successful legal strategy that led to the commercial release of the first genetically modified macro-organism in Brazil, the Aedes do Bem™ mosquito.
Before joining Madruga BTW, he was the Chair of Regulatory and Business Law at Amin Ferraz, Coelho & Thompson Flores Advogados, where he handled legal strategies and negotiations with Parliament and regulatory agencies.
Rafael is a PhD candidate at the University of Brasilia (UnB) and holds a Master’s degree in Law and Public Policy from UniCEUB. He graduated with honors and was awarded the prize for best dissertation in 2018.
